Haare sind alles. Doch als eine Mutter bei ihrem Kind Läuse entdeckt und sie deswegen zum Institut für Läusebekämpfung müssen, beginnt das große Unglück. In “Haare” geht es ums Haare haben und Haare lassen und die damit verbundenen Erwartungen, und Schamgefühle - aber vor allem auch um die Chance, sich diesen zu stellen.
Aisha Franz lebt und arbeitet als freischaffende Comicautorin und Illustratorin in Berlin. Ihr neuestes Buch “Work-Life Balance” ist ihre vierte Graphic Novel beim Verlag Reprodukt und wurde 2022 mit dem Max und Moritz-Preis als bester deutschsprachiger Comic ausgezeichnet. Die englische Übersetzung ihres Werkes “Shit Is Real” war 2019 für den L.A.Times Book Award nominiert, 2020 war sie Stipendiatin der Kulturverwaltung des Berliner Senats im Bereich Comic. Für Die Zeit Leo zeichnet Aisha bereits seit 2019 den Kindercomic "Drei aus der Zukunft“. Sie veröffentlicht u.a. auch mit dem Berliner Printstudio Colorama, mit dem sie gemeinsam "Clubhouse“ betreut; ein Residency- und Publikationsprojekt, das sich speziell an Comiczeichner*innen richtet.
Hair is everything. So when a mother discovers lice on her child requiring them to go to the institute for lice control, the big disaster begins. “Hair” is about having hair and losing hair and the associated expectations and feelings of shame – but above all, about the chance to face them.
Aisha Franz lives and works as a comic artist and illustrator in Berlin. Her latest book "Work-Life Balance" is her fourth graphic novel published by Reprodukt and received the "Max and Moritz" award for best German-language comic in 2022. The English version of her book "Shit Is Real" was nominated for the L.A. Times Book Award in 2019. In 2020, she held a scholarship from the Berlin Senate's cultural department in the field of comics. Since 2019, Aisha has been drawing the children's comic "Three from the Future" for Die Zeit Leo since 2019. She also publishes with Printstudio Colorama in Berlin, with whom she oversees "Clubhouse", a residency and publication project aimed specifically at comic artists.
