Jeroen Funke ist Comiczeichner, Buchmacher, Selbstverleger, Illustrator, Textilkünstler, Siebdrucker, Kartonierer, Maler und Sammler und Teil des holländischen Comic-Kollektivs „Lamelos“. Er ist außerdem Verlobter und Vater. Trotzdem erfreut er sich immer wieder völlig schuldfreier Prokrastination. Er hat den Jan Hanlo Media-Essay Preis für seinen „Victor & Vishnu“ Comic und den Comic Art Award für den selbst-publizierten Comic „The Lonely Cowboy“ erhalten. Wenn er nicht gerade seinen Katzenanzug trägt, nimmt er gern an Papp-Roboterkämpfen teil, liest oder macht mit seiner Stickmaschine herum.
Happy birthday! is a sweet story about a zealous dog that is out to surprise the one he loves for their birthday by carrying a giant present halfway across the world. Boy, this dog must really be in love! Incidentally, the tiny book itself serves as a perfect birthday gift too. It’s even called ‘Happy Birthday!’ If only you knew someone who’s birthday was coming up …
Jeroen Funke is a comic artist, illustrator, small press self publisher, cardboarder, screen printer, patch maker, fabric artist and a member of Dutch comic collective "Lamelos". He’s also a fiancé and a dad. He does however enjoy some occasional guilt-free procrastination. He won the Jan Hanlo Media-Essay Prize for a "Victor & Vishnu" comic and the Comic Art Award for his self published comic book "The Lonely Cowboy". When he is not wearing his keyboard cat suit, he enjoys taking part in cardboard robot battles, reading or tinkering with his embroidery machine.

Haare sind alles. Doch als eine Mutter bei ihrem Kind Läuse entdeckt und sie deswegen zum Institut für Läusebekämpfung müssen, beginnt das große Unglück. In “Haare” geht es ums Haare haben und Haare lassen und die damit verbundenen Erwartungen, und Schamgefühle - aber vor allem auch um die Chance, sich diesen zu stellen.
Aisha Franz lebt und arbeitet als freischaffende Comicautorin und Illustratorin in Berlin. Ihr neuestes Buch “Work-Life Balance” ist ihre vierte Graphic Novel beim Verlag Reprodukt und wurde 2022 mit dem Max und Moritz-Preis als bester deutschsprachiger Comic ausgezeichnet. Die englische Übersetzung ihres Werkes “Shit Is Real” war 2019 für den L.A.Times Book Award nominiert, 2020 war sie Stipendiatin der Kulturverwaltung des Berliner Senats im Bereich Comic. Für Die Zeit Leo zeichnet Aisha bereits seit 2019 den Kindercomic "Drei aus der Zukunft“. Sie veröffentlicht u.a. auch mit dem Berliner Printstudio Colorama, mit dem sie gemeinsam "Clubhouse“ betreut; ein Residency- und Publikationsprojekt, das sich speziell an Comiczeichner*innen richtet.
Hair is everything. So when a mother discovers lice on her child requiring them to go to the institute for lice control, the big disaster begins. “Hair” is about having hair and losing hair and the associated expectations and feelings of shame – but above all, about the chance to face them.
Aisha Franz lives and works as a comic artist and illustrator in Berlin. Her latest book "Work-Life Balance" is her fourth graphic novel published by Reprodukt and received the "Max and Moritz" award for best German-language comic in 2022. In 2020, she held a scholarship from the Berlin Senate's cultural department in the field of comics. Since 2019, Aisha has been drawing the children's comic "Three from the Future" for Die Zeit Leo since 2019. She also publishes with Printstudio Colorama in Berlin, with whom she oversees "Clubhouse", a residency and publication project aimed specifically at comic artists.

Lilli Loge ist eine Berliner Comiczeichnerin. Sie studierte freie Kunst. Seit 2003 veröffentlicht sie Comics und Zines im Selbstverlag, unter anderem moderne queere Versionen von "Tijuana Bibles" (eine Mischung aus Satire und Erotik). Die letzte "Bible" von Lilli Loge ist dem surrealistischen Maler Max Ernst gewidmet.
Zur Zeit arbeitet sie an einer Graphic Novel, die in einem Einkaufzentrum spielt. Das Buch erscheint 2023/2024 bei avant-Verlag. "Rise and Fall of a Mall" ist die "Ur-Version" dieser Graphic Novel.
Everything under one roof - the worn out temple of consumption is both boredom and seduction for young people and retirees. With a fine sense of rhythm and space, Lilli Loge guides us through the life story of a shopping center with literal skeletons in the basement.
Lilli Loge is a comic artist from Berlin. She studied free art. She has been self-publishing comics and zines since 2003, including modern queer versions of "Tijuana Bibles" (a mix of satire and eroticism). Lilli Loge's last "Bible" is dedicated to the surrealist painter Max Ernst.
She is currently working on a graphic novel set in a mall. The book will be published by avant-Verlag in 2023/2024. "Rise and Fall of a Mall" is the "original version" of this graphic novel.

In ihrem neuen Abenteuer hat es die beiden Freunde Löwe und Krokodil auf eine einsame Insel verschlagen. Versuche, die Insel zu verlassen, scheitern. In dieser Episode geht es unter anderem um Elefantenfußspuren im Sand und um Sprünge aus großer Höhe.
Die Abenteuer von “Löwe und Krokodil“ handeln von ihrer Freundschaft und den Herausforderungen, die sich aus den Begegnungen mit anderen Tieren und Menschen ergeben. Es ist eine Geschichte für Kinder und Erwachsene, die ohne Worte und erklärenden Text auskommt.
Im Materialverlag der HFBK Hamburg erscheint bald das erste Comic-Buch von Marc Truckenbrodt, das drei weitere Abenteuer von Löwe und Krokodil erzählt. Marc Truckenbrodt, 1998 in Jena geboren, lebt und arbeitet in Wien. Seit er sich erinnern kann, zeichnet er und erzählt Geschichten. Er studiert bildende Kunst im Fachbereich für Grafik und Drucktechnik an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien.
In their new adventure, the two friends lion and crocodile have ended up on a lonely island far from home. Attempts to leave the island fail. Then a hunter appears … This episode is about, among other things, elephant footprints in the sand and jumping from great heights.
The adventures of "Lion and Crocodile" deal with friendship and the challenges that arise from encounters with other animals and people. It is a story for children and adults that does without words and explanatory text.
The first comic book by Marc Truckenbrodt will soon be published by Materialverlag HFBK Hamburg. Marc Truckenbrodt, born in Jena in 1998, lives and works in Vienna. He has been drawing and telling stories for as long as he can remember. He studies fine arts in the Department of Graphics and Printing Technology at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
